Quick fix to stop a leaky basement

The area got 4-6 inches of rain this weekend.  We had a steady stream of water coming into the basement on Saturday.  Every 15-20 minutes we were using the shop-vac to suck up water.  When it got to be bed time, we knew if we left it overnight, we’d have 2-3 inches of water in the basement, so…

We used diapers to line the floor and in the morning, the water was stopped cold, sopped up by diapers! Each diaper weighed about 4 lbs. That is half a gallon of water!
