Life Goes On

It’s hard to believe it’s been 4 weeks. Not a day goes by where we don’t talk about Wes or reference something he said or would have said if he were here. Some days are easier than others. We as a family have chosen to continue in a way that Wes would have wanted. Life continues on even when our loved one is gone. We mourn but we keep going.

We are so thankful for all of you who were able to share in Wes’ Celebration of Life. We believe that both Wes and God were honored. We pray that many of you have taken up the challenge to Live for God’s glory and Make Disciples as you are going through each day, as was Wes’ requested (and God’s) for each of us.

In the meantime, aside from all the phone calls and paper work, the Tribe has been active. Together we have visited the Shoshone Falls and Dierkes Lake. Dakota traveled back to Oregon to see friends and get his belongings as he will be switching schools in the Fall. Kadin has be out bridge jumping, exploring Idaho and working at Lowes. Kasey has been keeping active with her friends, playing tennis, going to the movies, and this weekend at a youth retreat. While Dakota and Kasey were away, Kadin and I rode the motorcycles, explored a cave, and taken Polaris to the river to play and swim.

As far as the RV pad, it is still in process. Tomorrow the plumber comes out to set up the water and sewer lines. When those lines are set up, the RV will be able to come and sit on the road mix. We will also be meeting with the builders and architect to reconfigure some of their plans. Once we agree on the design, we will have the concrete poured. I am looking forward to having the fence replaced so I can relax when Polaris is in the backyard. It’s all coming together but not without its challenges.

Thank you for your continued prayers.
