Off To School

This week the kids and I went up to Moscow, ID to take Dakota and Kadin to school. Currently, the boys will be living together with other friends. We arrived a couple weeks early so that Kadin could change their beds to be triple bunks, as there will be 10 of them in the same room. Also the roommates were all moving in sometime this week and they wanted to get it done before they all arrived. Next week the Freshmen arrive and the boys want to be there to help move them in and get to know the new students on campus. School will begin for all of them the following week.

Kasey and I stayed with the Young family and even Polaris had a friend to hang out with. Thank you Youngs for your hospitality and for hosting us.

Kadin will be continuing his education in Mechanical Engineering. He is a second semester Sophomore. He is considering working at the local lumber company, he really enjoyed working at Lowe’s this past summer. Kadin is looking forward to being back at school with his friends and going on some great adventures.

Dakota is in the process of taking a few classes this fall in the International Studies program. He may also have the opportunity to study abroad his second semester as he waits for his residency to be applied so that he can take classes full time next summer. In the meantime, he plans to work at Starbucks and help with Resonate Church.

Kasey heads back to school August 26th as a Sophomore. She is excited to see what classes she will get this year and looks forward to being back with her friends. She is also considering trying out for some other sports besides tennis (maybe basketball or volleyball).

I will be looking for places to volunteer and begin the process of finding a job. Not sure exactly what I am looking for but I know a guy who does. 🙂 I will just be patient and wait for the Lord to lead me as I get involved with the community here.

My dear husband, Dave, has been in Glory now for 25 years. He has been busy building and running christian schools just like he did when he was here with us.
