This Past Month

It’s been some time, here is a quick overview of the past month.

Dakota & Kadin – have been busy with school, work and Resonate. A few weekends ago they traveled to a friends wedding and had a blast. I showed you the bunk beds the boys worked on, this past weekend they put up a hanging bed in the middle of the room for the one who was sleeping on the floor. They are making many memories and enjoying life together with their friends.

Kasey – had her first homecoming dance with some friends. She’s been going to most of the school’s football games, and is creating a great community around her. On Sundays, She has been leading worship every other week with a team and keeping active.

Polaris – has been keeping us all going and wants to play with anyone who enters the house. She loves walks and meeting new dogs in the neighborhood and at the local dog park.

Karen – has been keeping busy with small projects around the house (Doug has been helpful with table project), and working for different people to keep her mind and hands busy. She’s been helping out at Kasey’s church weekly with program stuffing and other tasks needed and taking Polaris on mini adventures.

Last weekend was a special weekend for me. Saturday, Doug, Grace and Tony (brother in law who is in town) and I went on an adventure to explore Idaho. (Kasey didn’t want to go!). The initial reason for the trip was to see the fall colors… not many fall colors in the mountains of Idaho, but we did see some great scenery. Sunday, Resonate’s “City Church” (young professionals and families) had service at our house. The main speaker was Wes! Back in May, they recorded Wes preaching a couple of his sermons. They plan to show the next one in December. It was bitter sweet to watch, and the message was about growing and deepening our relationships with God, the Church and the World. Afterwards, 16 of us created some meals for the Women’s shelter. I am thankful for the opportunity to serve and be served.

Your family is well, busy and moving along with their lives… just as it should be. Say HI to Doug and Grace. Tell them Jerry has his house up for sale. Bill still in Nursing home.
